Tof
Tof is an ongoing documentation of my relationship with the drums. A very intimate and complicated relationship, but a healthy one indeed.
In this project, I explore innovative methods to push the boundaries of drums beyond their conventional musical role, incorporating amplification, electronics, and the manipulation of matter through vibrations.
The drums gave their consent to participate in these experiments, simply by being the way they are. Their voice on the matter can be herd below.

Ground
The first of my works involving percussion and electronics.
"Ground", emerged from the "Prepared Drums"—an ever changing instrument I constructed with the specific intention of eliciting resonant snare wire vibrations and exploring the textures of noise it produces. surprisingly , my experiments resulted in a drums acting as a loudspeaker, that generates unexpected melodies.
This new state of affairs with the drums made me hit them less, and our relationship felt fresh and new as I discovered I could love them again. And them, for their objective nature could embrace me back into their heads.

Ensō
Ensō is influenced by the Zen circle, symbolizing enlightenment and emptiness. In this work, I explore the gong's versatility as a sound source, exploring its pure overtones, the delicate balance between tone and noise at its breaking point, and its intriguing relationship with the no-input mixer—acting as a reinforcer, disruptor, or equalizer

DUSK
An experimental music duo comprising Aya Lion (saxophone) and Liel Fishbein (drums and electronics).
The duo creates minimalist compositions rooted in improvisation. Their work places a significant emphasis on the interplay between sound and space.
